The Good: I am 75% done with the red devil and learned that my reaction to round one is a good predictor of my future reactions. Cross fingers and toes that fatigue is my biggest side effect. Also, one of the incisions for my port that was infected is finally clearing up. It’s been a struggle and restricted walking and any other fitness. Looking forward to be able to tackle at least a walk around the block. Yoga will be great to assist in taking a photo of my socks that say, “fighting cancer one dose at a time” as my flexibility is not so great. (Yes I could take a photo of the socks not on my feet. Yes that seems like cheating to me).
The Bad: my optimism runs high that these appointments will be easy breezy and there won’t be complications. Once again, there were issues with the port with my blood draw and then with the treatment that slowed things down. They couldn’t get blood and eventually had to inject something to sit on the port to break up fibers. Our joke: it’s Drano but 100% certain it was not. Even with the clearing out of the port, when the nurse went to push the red devil it still wasn’t working great and I had to contort myself to get it to work. Not the worst thing in the world, but I would prefer smoother sailing with the port.
The Stanley Cup: My friend, Lisa R., introduced me to the Stanley Adventure Quencher Travel Tumbler 40oz. They are apparently all over the internet and sell out shortly after they are restocked. Well guys. I got one. Possibly because they are no longer “the thing.” 😂 (They are still sold out everywhere.)

This beauty made her debut at treatment and was a hit. 😂 Insulated water bottles are my constant companion, and this one delivers in terms of capacity, keeping things cold, and being dishwasher safe. Unfortunately, it is not spill proof. 😬
Here’s hoping everyone has a great weekend! Congratulations you made it to Friday! Treat yo self and do something nice, just for you, this weekend. 😘
